Manitoba Blue Cross is the new sponsor for the Manitoba Curling Club Championship event.
The selection process for our CurlESP women’s and men’s teams who are interested in competing in the Manitoba Blue Cross Curling Club Winnipeg Regional Qualifiers is as follows:
- CurlESP will send up to TWO women’s and TWO men’s teams and cover the entry fee for each team.
- Any player, regardless of age or the league they play in or method of delivery (regular or stick), is eligible to enter. The team can be made up of any four curlers as long as all team members are:
- affiliated members of Curl Manitoba,
- registered members of CurlESP for the 2026-27 season,
- have each paid at least ONE full CurlESP league fee registration for the 2026-27 season, and
- have and will be playing regularly in a CurlESP league for the entire 2026-27 season.
Any team interested in competing must submit their name and list of players to CurlESP by noon on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Need to know information: Winnipeg Regional Qualifiers will take place at the Deer Lodge Curling Club from Friday, November 27th to Sunday, November 29th, 2026. The first draw will be in the evening of November 27th. In the event you win a Regional spot you will represent Curl ESP at the Manitoba Blue Cross Curling Club Provincial Championship Games, hosted by the Pembina Curling Club from April 1-4, 2027.
If an expressed interest is received from more than TWO women’s and/or TWO men’s teams, CurlESP will hold a playoff to determine which teams will qualify to represent CurlESP in the regionals. This playoff must be completed by November 10, 2026 in order to meet Curl Manitoba’s Nov 12th registration deadline.
